Jimmy Edgar, future funk freak magnet and Egyptian Lover, legendary love machine combine forces and tour the country this September. Lover. Fighter. Prophet. Freak magnet. Time-traveler.

Musician, photographer and designer Jimmy Edgar is a wayward star-child streaking across the cosmic dance-floor. The Detroit-based electronic music artist began his musical pursuit by playing the drums in experimental bands and by making tape recordings. Most of these recordings, consisting mainly of pitch bended tape loops, cut edits, field recordings, and noise tracks, were the beginning of his experimentation with the technical aspects of production.

While Jimmy's new album is largely a one-man show, “XXX” is not without accomplices. A Latvian girl named Anet sings on "Physical Motion" and a rising new R&B singer from NYC signed to XL recordings, Azealia, ad libs on the same track. "Whenever I have worked with women and art, they have this way of putting balance into everything." Jimmy now turns his attention towards Australia, with four dates coming up in September, taking in all the hotspots of Australin club culture.

Egyptian Lover has been bringing you that sound you have enjoyed for over 30 years. Some call it Electro, some call it Hip Hop, some call it Old Skool. Regardless, Egyptian Lover makes music to make you dance. He started out as a DJ in 1978-79 and became the headlining DJ for Uncle Jam's Army in 1982. Getting his style from Kraftwerk and enjoying the 808 drum machine, Egyptian Lover is responsible for recording the infamous "Breakin' & Entering" soundtrack, a true Electro recording and the first of its kind. Egyptian Lover tours Australia for the first time in September with what will be no doubt very special performances - LIVE ON THE 808 BOOM! BOOM!
